Success And Achievement

In the course of my business tour in Kenya, I met a fish farmer who has been extremely successful in this endeavor. He earns not less than a hundred thousand dollars annually from raring and distributing fish to five star hotels in and out of the country. When I asked him about his journey to this successful business, he surprised me by narrating that this business was one of his least attempts to survive, after he was rudely and abruptly retrenched from the company he was working with.

He was a foreman in a tea company, when one day, he was shocked to receive a letter of retrenchment. Suddenly he landed into a lot of problems. He had a loan to pay, children in school, he had just began constructing a house for his family and after two months of his joblessness, auctioneers were at his door thereby taking everything he owned.

With no money, he had to try and settle down in the village and begin doing the only thing left to do; Farming. Eventually he got an idea: to rare fish and there he was; now, a millionaire. The one thing the fisher man never did was give up. Despite his predicament he remained focused to achieve something in life. It would be sad if we never try and yet claim that life has nothing to offer.

Start by believing in yourself, accept, and appreciate who you are. I personally believe each one of us has the potential to succeed, with personal drive and passion we’ll definitely make it in whatever field we pursue. Aim for the sky as you remain optimistic and never give up. Seek always to spend time with people who appreciate, motivate and inspire you continually. Work hard and smart and for sure you’ll succeed.
